This method is for the Microsoft Surface running Windows 8 or Windows 8.1; this method is very simple and quick. Right click on Start button and select “Device Manager.” In Device Manager find the Unknown Devices with a yellow triangle on it. Right click on the unknown device and select “ Update Driver Software.”. In Internet Explorer, click Tools, and then click Internet Options. On the Security tab, click the Trusted Sites icon. Click Sites and then add these website addresses one at a time to the list: You can only add one address at a time and you must click Add after each one. Whenever it was connected, either it'd cause the Surface to sleep (as soon as it was connected), or the trackpad would stop working. I decided to update all the drivers/firmware via the Surface Pro 3 MSI. Windows Updates claims to be up to date. Device Manager states that the Type Cover driver is missing. Where exactly do I get the driver for this?

My Surface Pro Type cover has stopped working a few days ago for no apparent reason.
I have spent hours on this , cleaning the port, rebooting in UFI, reinstalling windows from the Recovery Image, updating Windows to its latest version, following every possible advise I could find about this subject but nothing has solve the problem.
What I have noticed is that the Surface Type Cover drive are not listen in the Device Manager (see image below). These drives are necessary for the Type Cover to function, but despite updating and rebooting they are not installing again.
Does anyone know of a way of reinstalling these independently. I have downloaded them from a folder but do know know how to add them to the device manager.
